Open Question: What is the best digital camera brand that shoots clear crisp pictures?

It doesn’t necessarily have to be the BEST brand, but from your experience, generally, what is a good brand for digital cameras that shoots clean, crisp, and clear pictures? Of course I know it will depend on other factors too such as the quality, expense, number of mega pixels and such but generally, what is a good place to start? What brand has been the best at this from your experience?
I ask because I own a kodak and I have been having problems with unrealistic looking photos where the background looks fake and the front looks more realistic. There is also an unrealistic differentiation of light.

Open Question: Digital Camera 16:9 Ratio Youtube Video help!?

I have a digital camera that shoots 16:9 High Quality Video’s. If I upload a video straight from the camera to YouTube, it puts it in 16:9 ratio on youtube which is what I want. But I want to edit a movie I’m making, so I make the movie with video clips from my camera, save it all then upload it to youtube. It goes to 4:3 or whatever! Why is it doing this? I need it to be 16:9, I don’t want to use the 16:9 Tag Code that you can do on youtube because that stretched the video and ruins the quality.
Please someone help! 10 POINTS! PLEASE!

Preferably a nikon, but if you think a canon would be better i wouldn’t mind looking into one of those!
i’m very much into photography and do shoots for a few local bands, live shots as well! i also take photos for my family. i like nature shots, so something that would work around there? and also not over $500, please. i’m looking for the best bang for the buck
recently i’ve been looking into the nikon l110, but i want to compare it to a few cameras all you recommend!

Open Question: Is 320×240 video resolution fine for someone who wants to record some vacation shots ?

I just bought a Sanyo VPC-E890 digital camera today for a vacation coming up in a week. In Video mode it offers two options for resolution: 640×480 and 320×240. If I am looking for a generally decent shot where I can film moments with my family for memory purposes only, is 320×240 good enough? ( I chose this one so far because it gives me more recording time on my 2gb SD card

I need to create some time lapse video…i don’t want to use a video camera. I need an unlimited buffer and it can’t be an SLR for size purposes. Anyone know of a digital camera with these capabilities?
